At the beginning of e-portfolio I was having difficulty getting my head around the concept. I understood that it was an online portfolio but I didn’t understand how we were going to get all our information online. I definitely thought the task would be a lot harder than it was. For some reason I was thinking that we would have to create our own webpage from scratch and I wasn’t looking forward to that!! It wasn’t until we had started the second assignment that I realised what was going on. I am grateful it wasn’t what I thought it would be!

When I first logged on to digital dialogues I didn’t really understand it. I began to complete the information for the introduction page and wasn’t sure why they wanted my address and what it meant by public or private. I didn’t fill in some of the information as I wouldn’t want people knowing all of those details about me. I then had further problems understanding where to upload my documents. That was until I realised the different links to click on, once I found these I had no problems uploading. Luckily I have a scanner so I didn’t have to wait until class to have all my files scanned. That would have been very frustrating.

When creating my profile I was aiming to share with my class mates and other people who I am and help them to understand what I enjoy and what I have achieved in the past. I think it is a good opportunity for everyone to get to know each other a little better.
