More HTML...

So ... yesterday and the day before, I spent a few hours learning more html. This time, I learnt how to make the sidebar and decoration on the top of the page through an applicaation called 'coffeecup' which I downloaded from the internet for free.

I heard from a friend that I could create tables that would represent the sidebar, etc that I wanted to make. I explored coffeecup and taught myself how to insert, move, put text into, colour the background and remove the visable border of tables. I also learnt to put a table inside of a table.

What I discovered was that html is extreemly fiddly, but not that hard to understand. I spent a long time designing the colour and structure of a page, but then it was really quick to just copy and paste the text from each of the page into the page that I had already done.

At the moment, I am trying to build hyperlinks on the sidebars of each page. The problem is that I have to delete the files from here to update them. When I upload them again, the urls change and my links don't work anymore :( which annoys me because of the work I have to go to to delete, edit and upload 15 files to various locations only to have them not work properly.

Overall though, I am enjoying the experience and challenges. I know that I do not have to upload the files in html format or go to this much effort because e-portfolio is a pass/fail subject but I have wanted to learn some html for a while now and I am glad to have the opportunity, even if it is more work.

Keywords: coffeecup, html, links, url
