I am not sure whether this is too early to complete as we still have to do a final wrap up and tidy up of the wiki and the information contained in it. Lets see how I go and I will post an other reflection if required.

I am using the reflection model LINKS.

Learnt Skills
Instigated Skills
No Holding Back
Knowledge Gained
Something for the future

Learnt skills are using wikis, increaing my capability around the virtual collaboration piece and an understnding of the steps involved in putting a piece of e-learning out to an audience.

Instigated skills - Powerpoint and new ways of using it. wiki skills/virtual collaboration. Singing rap and and using a free software called Audacity to record and produce the file of the Wiki rap.

No Holding Back - My team was fantastic and everyone got into it and produced a terrific final wiki. I am very proud of all our efforts and work completed. I intend to do my utmost to incorrporate the use of wikis in the company ut only when the participants are read to exploit the virtual collaborative space.

Knowledge Gained - It is extremely important to understnd where people stand in the use of Syncronous and Asyncronous learing interventions and the use of collaborative tools. It is the learner or participant that is the key to designing your e-Solutions. Investigate, research feelings bout hat you are about to do before you do it.

Something for the future - Age appears to create adifference in how people want to learn on line. Look at our eval report and you will see what I mean. That has been an eye opener for me. Another thing, if we are to be a truely sustainable company then the increase use of wiki's is essential. The way information can be shared by this kind of software allows for the increasing opportunity to develop into the paperless office. Another?? Al the bells and whistles in the world wont make a piece of e-learning effective. One more - the learner is central to design of e-learning (and other learning) and must remain the focus at all times. There is another, PowerPoint heavy with pictures cnnot be easily loaded into edge, and that lacking a resource who could design in lectora gave the other team an edge over us!

Thanks ABB, I have enjoyed, stressed and appreciated the way you allowed us to take responsibility for our own learning. As learning professionals we need to be able to demonstrate the maturity to take on a learning and assessment opportunity like this and gain from it.

ABB has just let us know of the need to include additional evidence to assist in judging individual participation rates. Well as it is with the creators we are a pretty tight bunch. Check out our home page [Click to view link] to see how together we really are. We have all had guilt trips as to how much we have contributed or not. That's pretty good for a team when all have this great protestant work ethic and we aren't religious at all.

We did lose Glen on the way ... to better thisgs like an extended holiday. Oh well he misses out .... not!

I have really enjoyed the use of Wiki's and can see a definite use for them in our organisation. It will take some patience to implement and guidance of those not exposed to this type of collaboration.

With the ability of PBwikis to e-mail you when someone posts a comment has founs me being able to keep up to date with what my colleagues are doing and to quickly comment if I feel a need. So in the wiki I am behaving differently than I do with the discussion forum on UTSonline where I need to be more disciplined and allocate time to participate.

I like online collaboaration mostly for the spoeed to which ideas flow and work gets completed. I don't think our group truely got this till the end when we started exploiting the wiki.

What do you like least? is the UTS discussion forum, would have loved an e-mail alert when something was posted.

Drastic title for drastic times. The sun is shinning the ocean beckons and there is too much work to get done. Including our assignment for e-strategies. We are up to the evaluation with only 12 days left to finish it off. We have been beaten by the Restaurant and not happy with that. But I am sure that if the VET assessment approach changed from Competent/not yet competent to Fair, Good, excellent that the Creators would get an Excellent.

Working with Donna, Rebecca, Kate, Shaun, Shannon and Nicola has been a delight (I work in the same team as two of them) and I can't wait for the celebrations when we finish.

More to come stay tuned be right back (BRB)

Well we are progressing well with our creators. We might even say we are nearly finished. Fantastic!

I have reflected on the processes I have personally gone through in completing this aspect of the Diploma. I guess that I thrive on the self directed learning piece and maybe I am old enough to have collected experiences and learnings on the way, but I have enjoyed the experience.

Finding time and the discipline to meet the needs of the course have, at times, been demanding. I am sure I will look back in the future and reflect on the good stuff and not the bad.

There must be something wrong with the system it could not be that long since my last entry. Actually this is the second time I have posted this entry as the first did not work as the intranet is not working good.

The creators met today and we are all excited. We can see the end. Bring on the pilot and evaluation and we are done!!!!!!!

It was great to get into the 2 wikis, creators and e-travel and play and see again what has been written. Oh well I just might go off and post again to the wiki.

OK last week we had another F2F. I actually went into the session feeling guilty as I felt I had not done enough for the group elated 'cause of the feedback I got from ABB on my eval doc (only took 18 months to write). I was really keen to get over my guilt (so I thought) but during the session when the deign groups realised that they needed to do a whole lot more work and the chance to create a wiki [Click to view link] this was fun and I felt really proactive. Actually while I was setting up the wiki Cheryl S was also on the site and we were stepping on each others virtual toes.

I am feeling a little more productive and look forward in putting the pilot together. A little concerned that restaurant group have put there course in Lectora as this has now created an un-equal playing field and a possible show stopper for our project. Not happy Jan!
